Today I will talk about my friend Ajay, who is a web designer, and due to some reasons, he had to leave his job, and he was looking for a job for a long time. 

He sent his CV to many companies, and most of them he did not receive any interview call, due to that he was very disappointed, and he thought he should meet me, and consult about this situation, due to that regarding his visit to my office last Saturday.

 I am a IT recruiter, so I was very excited to meet him and identifying this, the actual reason, why he is not receiving any interview call, and if interview calls also come, then why he was rejected again and again, Basis of his experience his expected salary was not much, it could be gotten by any company, but also after then, after all why the companies were rejecting him. I wanted to know this.

I said him to give me his CV, Ultimately I received it, I checked his CV deeply, and I advise him, that When you go to any company regarding interview, before going there, please share me their JD, and beg some time for sending them your CV, because I wanted to evaluate their CV, and companies’ JD, behind of this my aim was this, that I can identify, why he is not getting the success.

I have checked both Ajay’s CV (Curriculum Vitae), and companies JD, I found big differences between JD, and curriculum vitae. I advised Ajay that when you call any company, which should need a web designer, take 2 days to send your CV, and go to the interview after 2 days from sending the CV.

This time Ajay did like this, and fortunately a good IT company accepted his request. I tell Ajay, please make changes in this CV according to JD after full checking the Job description, and do the evaluation, which has your skills according to this JD. According to your knowledge, in which skills you are expert, you highlight them, and give them first priority, and try to best describe those with an attractive way. 

After then in those skills which you have some less knowledge, It means which you have only knowledge, but have no good command on those, give them second priority on your CV, you can mark it, that you have knowledge of this, and you will easily command on that and which skills have you no any knowledge, you can mention about them, you have little bit knowledge about them. 

What is My Actual Strategy behind this:

My means only this was, all the mentioned skills, which is on that JD, try to mention on your CV, my aim was behind of this, that interviewer, when check his CV, in that CV all those skills should be mention, which the company have need, so that they get a perfect CV, so that they take his interview with a positive attitude, and want that they hire him, because CV has a great value, it play a major role for selection, and rejection of any candidate in any company. So make a good CV according to company requirements, it means always modify the CV according to companies’ needs. so that companies see the great possibilities in you for their company. 

Ajay did the hard work for the interview preparation after modifying his CV, he gave more focus on those skills, which he had, and on work also on those skills in which had not have good command, and when he did the best preparation according to JD, he was confident that he could be selected. 

What was the Result of Our Interview for Ajay:

Ultimately that day came, when his interview was scheduled. Ajay’s interview gave a good interview, after taking the interview, the company told him to wait for two days, because some more interviews were scheduled by that company, they wanted to also take their interview, so that they could choose the best candidate. Two days later, Ajay received an offer from that company. Ajay came to my office, he thanked me, I was very happy that I helped my friend.
